Meditation is one of the five pillars of spiritual practice. Join us each week as we practice a different form of meditation for our Wednesday Night Live event.

“Prepare your mind to receive the best that life has to offer.” – Ernest Holmes

1/3 Visioning – Marilyn Scarborough, RScP – Visioning is “training our ear to listen to Spirit” according to Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. We open ourselves up to the Divine ideas God already has within us to show us how to live our unique purpose bringing love to the world.

1/10 Metta – Rev. Dr. Mike Ryan – The practice of Metta meditation is a beautiful support to other awareness practices. One recites specific words and phrases evoking a “boundless warm-hearted feeling.” The strength of this feeling is not limited to or by family, religion, or social class. We begin with our self and gradually extend the wish for well-being and happiness to all beings.

1/17 Forgiveness – Rev. Dr. Carla Ryan -Forgiveness is a crucial part of living a life that is productive, fulfilling, enjoyable, and open to possibilities. It’s a way to experience freedom: emotionally, consciously, and spiritually. Stop living a life of self-delusion. When you let go of resentment, blame and judgment, you choose to love yourself and others more fully. Learn how to become a “forgiveness ninja.”

1/24 Crystal Singing Bowls – Kate Fotopoulos – Join us for an exploration of sound, energy, and other vibrational healing modalities using the Special Alchemy series of singing bowls, which are made from pure quartz crystals combined with various gemstones and minerals. You don’t need any background or experience in meditation, just an openness to “listen” with your whole body.

1/31 Meister Eckhart – Rev. Anna Scott – Meister Eckhart embodies the thought that humanity has the potential to act divinely by way of compassion, beauty and sharing. We will delve into his meditations as a means to bring us closer to our highest potential.

2/7 Angel Cards and Other Oracles – Kate Fotopoulos – Images and words can sometimes help us to access our inner wisdom and to receive messages and inspiration from the Divine. Learn how to use cards as a starting place for daily meditations. (This evening is also an introduction to the “SoulCollage® – Creating Your Personal Wisdom Cards” workshop Kate will be facilitating on Sunday afternoon, 2/18.)

2/14 Oneness – Rev. Patty Rumpza – Oneness is not about any teaching, belief or philosophy. It’s about your Awakening. No prior experience is needed. People from all walks of life, all backgrounds and all faiths, are experiencing dramatic change and improvements in their lives from experiencing Oneness.

2/21 Journal Writing Meditation – Beverly Aden – The Divine uses the language of ideas, intuition, symbols, patterns, and moments of inspiration to speak with us. Writing in a journal helps us capture those ah-ha moments of communication that we might otherwise miss. This night’s process will consist of short meditations and writing exercises. (Beverly will be facilitating a Journaling Workshop on Saturday, February 24th.)

2/28 Crystal Singing Bowls – Kate Fotopoulos – Join us for an exploration of sound, energy, and other vibrational healing modalities using the Special Alchemy series of singing bowls, which are made from pure quartz crystals combined with various gemstones and minerals. You don’t need any background or experience in meditation, just an openness to “listen” with your whole body.

3/7 Mindfulness Meditation – Rev. Anna Scott – Mindfulness is a way of paying attention that originated in Eastern meditation practices. Mindfulness is paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally or bringing one’s complete attention to the present experience on a moment-to-moment basis.

3/14 Qi-gong Active Meditation – Marilyn Scarborough, RScP-  Qi-gong literally means “working with the energy of life.”  It is a standing meditation combining movement with breathing to increase health and vitality.

3/21 Drumming – Rev. Dr. Carla Ryan

3/28 Crystal Singing Bowls – Kate Fotopoulos – Join us for an exploration of sound, energy, and other vibrational healing modalities using the Special Alchemy series of singing bowls, which are made from pure quartz crystals combined with various gemstones and minerals. You don’t need any background or experience in meditation, just an openness to “listen” with your whole body.
